First visit to Dogtown
- The Dogtown district is part of the Pacifica region. You can visit the place as soon as you start the expansion's main story line, that is, during the first quest called Dog Eat Dog.
- V has to meet Songbird at the post on the border of Dogtown district. You will then pass through a large garage and gain access to the main part of Dogtown.
Dogtown border gate and fast travel
- Fortunately, you don't have to go through the garage every time you want reach this district. The vehicle gate at the Dogtown border will become usable. When you reach it, you must stop at a designated place and be scanned.
- The gate cannot be used during a police chase. What's more, the enemies and machines in that location can also attack your character. Make sure you are not being chased before you drive up there.
- Using the gate is not mandatory, as you can also discover new fast travel points in Dogtown. They work identically to those in the basic game, so all you have to do is reach a given point and select a fast travel destination from the map.
How big is the Dogtown map?
- Dogtown is not a very big district. You can get from one end of it to the other fairly quickly. The district is surrounded by a wall that clearly indicates its limits.
- There are several locations in Dogtown with many stores and NPCs. In addition, some buildings are multi-level and have elevators for reaching their upper floors. Some of these activities are linked to the DLC's main and side quests.
Dogtown's unique locations and features
- One of the most important features of Dogtown is that the district is under the full control of the Barghest gang , led by Kurt Hansen. You will face Barghest goons in some quests, but they also patrol the streets of Dogtown and serve as a replacement for the police. This means that they will start chasing you after breaking the law. You then have to kill or lose them. You can't leave Dogtown through the aforementioned gate while you are being pursued.
- The largest location in Dogtown is the Longshore Stacks bazaar. There you can find all the most important stores and services. You will visit the bazaar for the first time in the Dog Eat Dog quest, but you can also return there later during free exploration.
- In Dogtown, you will unlock another apartment. This will happen automatically in the Lucretia My Reflection main quest. The apartment is on Kress Street. There, you may meet Myers and other friendly characters.
- You can also look for collectibles in Dogtown. These can include new murals or restricted data terminals that award Relic perk points - we have described them in more detail on a separate Relic tree page.
Phantom Liberty DLC quests and activities
- The game marks tasks and activities related to the DLC.
- Quests, contracts and other DLC activities are marked on the map with a star icon - like in the picture. It appears when you hover over a marker on the map.
- All DLC tasks in the journal have additional graphics to the right of their names - we have shown them in the picture. This will allow you to find new content more easily.
