Cyberpunk 2077: Is there Experience level cap? Cyberpunk 2077 guide, walkthrough
Last update: 02 November 2022
On this page of our guide for Cyberpunk 2077 we answer the question whether there is a limit to the character's experience level - the so-called level cap. You will find out if you can level up and increase street cred without any limitations.
In Cyberpunk 2077 , the main character will level up the standard way - every time you gain the required number of experience points you will be informed about advancing to a higher level. You will receive 1 attribute point and 1 perk point with each level up.
The level cap in the base game is 50. In order to advance V to the highest level of experience you need to accumulate a total of almost 150000 experience points.
It is not out of the question that the level cap will be increased in the future as the devs release new large story expansion for the game.
In addition to leveling V up to subsequent experience levels, there is also leveling up of our Street Cred. The general mechanic is identical - collecting the required number of street cred points will enable you advance to subsequent level, which you will be informed about.
V's maximum street cred level in the base game is also 50. In the case of street cred, you do not receive a reward every level, only once every few levels. However, it should be noted that some items may require street cred at certain level (e.g. Eleventh).
The level cap is significantly lower for V's skills related to the character's main attributes. To remind you, xp for skills is obtained by performing related activities (e.g. using firearms or crafting). You will be informed about each level up.
The skill level cap is 20. Don't think that you will get it faster than the "main" level or street cred, because skills advance at a much slower rate.
