Resident Evil 4 Remake is in essence an action game, so combat is a must. There will be many threats to deal with. To improve your chances, you need to learn how to fight and utilize stealth, and on this page of our guide, you'll find useful tips that will help you use these mechanics to your advantage.
List of tips
Below we supply tips regarding combat, saving ammo, and sneak attacks on unsuspecting opponents.
- Get closer to enemies by sneaking - this way you won't alert nearby opponents, allowing you to take the first shot, or make a silent kill with your knife.
- Use flash granades - they can blind opponents, allowing you to retreat to safe place safely. Alternatively, you can assault a blinded opponent and finish him with your knife.
- Aim for the knees or eyes - shots to these areas can stop the opponent from moving. Moreover, after successful hits to these body parts (the enemy becomes blinded or kneels down), you can approach the opponent and attack him with a melee hit. This can help you save ammo, which on higher difficulty levels is also scarce.
- Use the environment to your advantage - this is viable especially in the early stages of the game. If the opponent is near a chasm or on a bridge, shoot at them so that they fall and die instantly. The same goes for explosives or booby traps. Allow enemies to get close to them and fire a single shot.
- Opponents can injure themselves - this becomes evident during the battle against Chainsaw Man. If he raises the saw and someone is in his way, they will get injured. The game creates a lot of such opportunities, so use them to your advantage.
