Encountering Regenerador creatures
As you can guess, these monsters are named Regeneradors because they can heal themselves during combat and may initially seem indestructible because of it.
Renegeradors begin to appear during the exploration of the Island in Chapter 13, making the task of obtaining new access cards much more difficult.
Initially, only ways of proceeding are:
- Escaping - run past the beast and use the fact that it's movement speed is lower than Leon's.
- slowing down the monster - a shotgun to the chest will stop them for a moment.
If you get grabbed by a Regenerador, we recommend using your Knife's durability and make a quick reversal.
In some locations, you'll encounter Regeneradors that are still in sacs. In that case, move in the crouched position and don't touch the sacs, otherwise, a monster will jump out of them, and you know already that Regeneradors are tough.
Acquiring and installing Biosensor Scope
The sneaking game continues until you reach the Incubation Lab, which is the next story destination.
Look for and visit the back room of the laboratory. The chest found here contains the Biosensor Scope.
Open your inventory and install the Scope on one of your weapons. We recommend installing the scope on a rifle (SR M1903 in the screenshot). Having the scope on a lower rate-of-fire weapon will allow precise shots from larger distances.
Identifying and destroying parasites
The Biosensor Scope allows you to notice weak points (parasites) on Regeneradors' bodies. Fire at these parasites and destroy them one by one.
An attacked Regenerador may start to crawl or run, becoming a more difficult target. Quickly make some distance between you and the monster, and start aiming for the parasites again.
There is also a stronger version of Regenerador that has a parasite in its brain and throws spikes. Attack them from a distance and/or hide behind covers to avoid being hit by spikes.
The general tactics remain the same during every Regenerador encounter - you have to destroy all parasites on the monster. Without the parasites, the monster won't regenerate, making it an easy target.
