In Resident Evil 4 Remake, Leon can visit shooting ranges and do challenges in which he has to shoot targets symbolizing pirates. You will learn where all 5 Shooting Ranges are in the Village, the Castle and on the Island, as well as how to accumulate points and earn S ranks at the shooting ranges.

Shooting Range #1 - Quarry

You can use the first Shooting Range in the Village starting from chapter 3. You need to reach the store in the Quarry. Next to it is an elevator traveling to the Shooting Range.
Shooting Range #2 - Grand Hall

The second Shooting Range is available in the Castle starting from chapter 9. It is in a small room next to the Grand Hall. A store and a typewriter are also in this location.
Shooting Range #3 - Mine

The third Shooting Range is available in the Castle in chapter 11. You will find it at the very beginning of the chapter in the mine, next to the store and the typewriter.
Shooting Range #4 - Cargo Depot

The fourth Shooting Range is available on the Island in chapter 14. It is in the area with a merchant, north of Facility 1 Storage and south of Cargo Depot.
Shooting Range #5 - Specimen Storage

The final fifth Shooting Range is available on the Island in chapter 15. It is west of Specimen Storage - you will find it before entering the Sanctuary Approach. This is the last opportunity to complete the Shooting Range challenges.
Most important rules of Shooting Range
You can check the challenges at a Shooting Range, but not all of them are available right away. If you don't want to wait for the next ones, go to the Shooting Range in chapter 15.
You do not use your weapons, but those assigned by the Shooting Range. They have unlimited ammunition, but need to be reloaded (preferably right after a series of targets disappear).
Doing a particular challenge will reveal its Bonus Condition. You may have to, e.g. eliminate all pirates. Completing the bonus condition will earn you a higher rank at the end of the challenge.
Hitting targets awards points, and hitting sailors (civilians) subtracts them. You can get additional points for, e.g.:
- hitting a skull;
- hitting an elite pirate;
- 100% accuracy;
- eliminating several targets with one shot.
At the end of each challenge, you will receive a rank - try to get S rank in each of them. This depends on the accuracy of your shots, the number of targets you hit and whether you have fulfilled the Bonus Condition.
Depending on your score, you will receive rewards - tokens. They come in different varieties, such as gold or silver.
Alternatively, you can also buy gold tokens from the merchant. They appear in later chapters in the Trade tab - they are purchased with Spinels.
There is a machine next to the elevator. Placing tokens into it to draw prizes.
You can win Charms. If you got one, go to the typewriter and select the Customize Case tab.
Each Charm offers a passive bonus - the one in the picture lets you find 20% more ammunition for the rifle. You can have up to 3 different Charms attached to the case.
