On this page of the guide, we have compiled the most important novelties and changes in Resident Evil 4 Remake. They differentiate this version of the game from the original 2005 RE4.
- New visuals. Resident Evil 4 Remake has been developed from scratch on the latest version of the RE Engine, which was also used in previous remakes (RE2 Remake and RE3 Remake), and full-fledged games of the series(RE7 and RE8). The models of characters appearing in the game are also new.
- You can now shoot while moving. This is one of the most significant changes in the game's mechanics. In the original version of Resident Evil 4, you had to stop moving to use firearms.
- Leon's knife is gradually wearing. This is a significant change influencing the chances of staying alive. Leon can use the knife to eliminate enemies and for special attacks, although the knife has a durability bar now. Once it is depleted, the knife is irrevocably lost and you have to look for another one.
- Story changes. The main storyline has remained unchanged, although you may experience various modifications as you progress through the game. Some scenes could have been expanded, while others could have been removed entirely. Some of the locations in the game have also been redesigned.
- Crafting ammunition. Crafting in RE4 Remake offers more possibilities, as it now also allows you to make ammunition yourself. This can make gameplay easier, as you don't have to rely solely on buying ammunition or finding it as loot.
