Tortured Prisoner is a character that you can unleash in Lords of the Fallen 2023. From this guide page, you will learn how to rescue the Tortured Prisoner in Skyrest, as well as how to buy Hell magic items from her.

In Skyrest hub area in Lords of the Fallen you can unlock a merchant offering Inferno spells - this vendor is called Tortured Prisoner. On this page of our guide, we show where to find her cell in Skyrest and what requirements you need to meet for the merchant and her stock to be unlocked and available.

Reaching the cell with Tortured Prisoner

1. Tortured Prisoner is held in one of the cells in Skyrest, but you cannot reach her during your first visit to the hub. To reach her, you first need to find Skyrest Bridge Key and we show how to obtain it on the Where to find Skyrest Bridge Key? page.
2. With the key, you need to repeat a large part of the crossing and once again reach the location with the large bridge. To the left of the bridge, there is a locked gate which you can open with the key (screenshot above).

Walk through the room with a row of torches and use the spiral staircase to climb up.

1. Tortured Prisoner is in one of the corner cells - see the screenshot. Any attempt to talk to her will end in a failure.

1. In the same part of Skyrest you can use the key to open the second gate. It will unlock a shortcut to the main area of Skyrest - the one with the Vestige and remaining NPCs.
2. From now on, you can access the lower gate more easily from the Vestige. It will take you to the area with Tortured Prisoner.

Solving the puzzle

1. Use the spiral staircase again and this time head downstairs back to the room with the rows of torches.
2. Activate your Lamp here to switch to Umbral realm. In Umbral world, you'll notice a ladder leading to a higher ledge - we show it in the screenshot.
3. In the upper area, there is an Umbral entity that blocks access to the side area. You have to get rid of it.

1. The solution to this problem is similar to other encounters in the game. You need to locate 3 beings to which you are led by connections in form of large veins. You must target each of the entities with Umbral Lamp and use Soulflay to remove the obstacle.
2. The first creature is to the right of the blocked passage.

1. You can find the second creature by returning to the area with the spiral staircase. Look up and target the creature from a distance (screenshot).

1. Getting to the third creature is the most problematic. In the room with rows of torches, place yourself in the area from the screenshot and use Soulflay to move the lower platform.

1. You can now jump to the lower platform where the third entity is found. After Soulflaying it, grab the remote hitch to move the platform again and you'll return to the main part of the hall.

1. The upper passage is now open as the entity dissapeared. Go there are collect unique loot - Searing Accusation ranged weapon.

1. Return to Tormented Prisoner with the newly acquired item. Interact and choose the option to transfer the weapon.
2. Leave the area. After you return here after some time, you'll find an open cell and unique loot lying on the ground - Tortured Prisoner's Head Cage. This is a medium head armor item.

Meeting the woman and unlocking trade

1. The freed Tortured Prisoner will appear not far from the location where you've fought Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal. This is the arena before the entrance to Skyrest. We show the location of the woman in the screenshot.
2. You can now interact with Tortured Prisoner, and during the first meeting, you'll receive a gift from her - Calrath Noble's Bow.

1. The most important information here is that Tortured Prisoner is a new merchant offering unique wares. You can sell items here and and access her stock.
2. The woman specializes in Inferno spells, such as Infernal Orb. In addition, she can sell you, e.g. Pyric Cultist set. This armor can be very useful for a mage specializing in Inferno spells.
