Lords of the Fallen: How to repair the elevator mechanism in the Bellroom? Lords of the Fallen - guide, tips

Bellroom in Lords of the Fallen 2023 has an inactive elevator with a jammed mechanism. Our guide explains how to fix the elevator and unlock free travel between floors.

Last update: 18 October 2023

While playing Lords of the Fallen, you will reach a disabled elevator from the Bellroom, which prevents you from reaching the headquarters of boss Gentle Gaverus, Mistress of Hounds. On this page of the guide, you will learn how to go through Axiom and Umbral in order to unlock the elevator mechanism and its free use.

Location of the disabled elevator in the Bellroom

1 - Lords of the Fallen: How to repair the elevator mechanism in the Bellroom? - Exploration - Lords of the Fallen Guide
  1. When advancing the main story, you must go through the Pilgrim's Perch and eventually you will reach the Vestige in the Bellroom - it is shown in the attached picture.
2 - Lords of the Fallen: How to repair the elevator mechanism in the Bellroom? - Exploration - Lords of the Fallen Guide
  1. Right next to the Vestige you will encounter an NPC and there is an elevator shaft, with the elevator being located at the bottom. Don't try to jump down here, because your character will die after falling from a great height.
  2. Attempting to pull the lever will display a message that the mechanism is jammed. Solving the puzzle involves reaching the lower area, entering the elevator and bringing it up.

Solving the puzzle - crossing Axiom and Umbral

3 - Lords of the Fallen: How to repair the elevator mechanism in the Bellroom? - Exploration - Lords of the Fallen Guide
  1. Take the path to the left of the disabled elevator. Don't jump down to the lower right area, as thorough exploration of the area is not required. You can also avoid many enemies by running past them (watch out for those with ranged attacks).
  2. Be careful in locations with precipices, especially where you have to jump to distant ledges and platforms (example in the picture). Remember to jump while running and press the jump button at the last possible moment.
4 - Lords of the Fallen: How to repair the elevator mechanism in the Bellroom? - Exploration - Lords of the Fallen Guide
  1. You need to head down - locate ladders that you can climb down immediately or that you need to lower first.
  2. After using one of the ladders, you can use a Vestige Seediling in the place shown in the picture and optionally create an Anchor Between Realms. This will enable you to save your game and rest on the way to the elevator.
5 - Lords of the Fallen: How to repair the elevator mechanism in the Bellroom? - Exploration - Lords of the Fallen Guide
  1. Stay next to the Anchor Between Realms and travel to Umbral. Only in the world of the dead can you safely climb down the new ladder in the picture and reach the lower area. In the world of the living it does not exist.
6 - Lords of the Fallen: How to repair the elevator mechanism in the Bellroom? - Exploration - Lords of the Fallen Guide
  1. At the bottom you can start new fights or avoid them. Ultimately, you need to reach the smaller ladder shown in the picture and, for a change, climb it.
7 - Lords of the Fallen: How to repair the elevator mechanism in the Bellroom? - Exploration - Lords of the Fallen Guide
  1. On the upper balcony you will find a narrow bridge, which you must cross carefully (if monsters appear, it is best to retreat). On the other side you will find the exit from Umbral (picture above).
  2. After returning to the world of the living, you can push the large board and create a shortcut. This will enable you to travel from the Anchor Between Realms side without having to go through the lower area.
8 - Lords of the Fallen: How to repair the elevator mechanism in the Bellroom? - Exploration - Lords of the Fallen Guide
  1. Continue your journey, now in Axiom. Jump down to the lower ledges. Visit Umbral again - this will enable you to examine the bone bridges shown in the picture.
  2. On the lower level, you can optionally use the Umbral Lamp and obtain Book of Sin - this artifact is described on a separate page of the guide.
9 - Lords of the Fallen: How to repair the elevator mechanism in the Bellroom? - Exploration - Lords of the Fallen Guide
  1. Eventually you will reach a blockade made of an Umbral creature - the picture shows it. You cannot unlock this passage by force.
10 - Lords of the Fallen: How to repair the elevator mechanism in the Bellroom? - Exploration - Lords of the Fallen Guide
  1. There are 3 interactive creatures in the area on which you must use the Umbral Lamp - an example is shown in the picture.
  2. For each creature, lock the camera on it and activate Soulflay. This will result in the release of a given "blockade".
11 - Lords of the Fallen: How to repair the elevator mechanism in the Bellroom? - Exploration - Lords of the Fallen Guide
  1. After getting rid of 3 blockades, return to the blocked passage. Now you can once again use Soulflay on the new creature. This will unlock a new path.

13 - Lords of the Fallen: How to repair the elevator mechanism in the Bellroom? - Exploration - Lords of the Fallen Guide
  1. The linear path will lead you to the lower area with the elevator.
  2. Don't rush further, because the main path leads to the lair of the boss Gentle Gaverus, Mistress of Hounds. Instead, enter the elevator and stand on the pressure plate.
  3. Once you're back up, you can use the Vestige in the Bellroom to rest and save your game. From now on, you can travel freely in the elevator and, in case of death, call it back by pulling the lever next to the Vestige.
