Mendacious Visage is an optional boss that you can reach after entering the Umbral. He is a durable opponent with a repeatable attack pattern. In our guide, we describe how to defeat him and what items you will receive for killing him.

Mendacious Visage in a nutshell

  1. The boss's face is armored, it can only be attacked when the armor is open. When it's closed, focus on attacking his back.
  2. The face of the Mendacious Visage can be opened with Soulflay. If it is open and you use this ability, you will be able to perform a critical hit.
  3. AS the boss applies the frostbite status, equip armor that provides good protection against this debuff. If its status bar is full, your endurance will drop to 50%.
  4. Don't destroy the roots with Soulflay, because then you will additionally have to fight other enemies in the arena.
  5. If you are low on health, siphon health from nearby buildings emanating blue light. Thanks to this, you will restore your depleting health.
