During your adventures in Lords of the Fallen you'll most likely encounter enemies with blue health bars who seem invincible. On this page of our guide, we explain the secret behind their invincibility - here you'll learn how to neutralize their protection and make the enemy's health bar turn red.
Lesser blue-bar opponents
- While exploring the game world, you may clash with enemies with a blue health bar instead of the standard red health bar (example in the image).
- Enemies with blue bars are invincible by default and you cannot damage them regardless of the type of attacks you perform (e.g. melee, ranged, magical).
Their invulnerability comes from the fact that they are protected by Umbral parasite. The solution to this problem involves destroying the said parasite that is connected to the enemy.
Parasites are visible in Umbral, and you can reveal them in two main ways:
- Activating the Umbral Lamp - you can stay in Axiom and only point the light to the opponent to reveal the parasite flying next to him (example in the screenshot).
- Switching to Umbral realm - after entering the world of the dead, the parasite will be visible at all times.
- To destroy the parasite, you need to use Siphon, an ability which is available after equipping the Umbral Lamp. After equipping Umbral Lamp, target the parasite and hold the Siphon button (R1/RB on consoles, LMB on PCs).
- Successfully destroying the parasite will cause the opponent to lose his invincibility and the blue health bar will turn red, which means you can now attack the enemy.
Boss battle - Scourged Sister Delyth
- You will also encounter the problem of the parasite after initiating the battle against Scourged Sister Delyth in Sanctuary. After performing the first attack, the sister's energy bar will turn blue and she will become invulnerable.
- In this case, the parasite isn't found right next to the boss. Instead, it is hidden in a small area on the right side of the sister - we show it in the screenshot. You can destroy it with Siphon.
- An alternative option is to make the sister to get away from the parasite. Attack her and retreat to the entry point of the arena. Her health bar should turn red and you can now attack with conventional means.
A full description and breakdown of the fight against Scourged Sister Delyth can be found in the Bosses chapter of our guide.
