In Lords of the Fallen, Umbral Scourings that you can obtain and amass have certain premium uses that you should know about in order to avoid spending them for a fraction of their worth. This page of our guide shows the best ways of spending carried Umbral Scourings.
Read the How to obtain Umbral Scourings? page to learn how to get them.
Should you sell Umbral Scourings to any merchant?
- Umbral Scourings will appear on the list of carried items if you open the sell tab at a merchant. By default, merchant's offer is 100 Vigor for 1 Umbral Scouring.
- Avoid selling Umbral Shards. Their value much exceeds the price they are willing to pay, and moreover sold Umbral Scourings are not that easily replaced.
Spending Umbral Scourings at Molhu
- Keep and amass Umbral Scourings in your inventory until you unlock their premium use. For this, you need to complete the steps described in What are the uses of Bowl of Revelations?, i.e. find the Bowl of Revelation and deliver it to Molhu in Skyrest.
- With the Bowl delivered, a new dialogue option will appear during conversations with Molhu - Offer Remembrance.
- You can give Molhu obtained Remembrances left by defeated bosses which are received by finding Stigmas related to the given boss and using Umbral Lamp on them. You can find a complete list of them in All Remembrances page of the guide.
- With the Offer Remembrance option activated, a list of buyable items related to the specific boss will appear. You pay for these with Umbral Scourings, and not Vigor (amassed XP). Depending on the item (e.g. weapon, armor piece, spell) it may cost from a few to several dozen Umbral Scourings.
Before buying an item, we recommend comparing the statistics of the considered item with the one you have equipped. This will allow you to check whether it offers any improvement over your current equipment and if needed, avoid buying a weapon or an item that will ultimately be of no use for you. Unfortunately, you cannot compare the items in the buy window. You need to remember the statistics and open your inventory.
