Ruiner is a main story boss who will appear on a narrow bridge. He uses linear attacks and charges, which may be a bit difficult to avoid. In this chapter of our Lords of the Fallen guide, we provide the best strategy that will enable you to kill this opponent. At the very end, we provide information about possible rewards.
Ruiner in a nutshell
- The boss deals fire damage, so before the fight it is a good idea to equip armor that protects against this type of damage.
- Ruiner is vulnerable to Radiance damage. If you have weapon buffs that apply Radiance or use this type of magic, we highly recommend using them against this boss.
How to fight Ruiner?
After entering the bridge, get as far away from the boss as possible, otherwise you will be rammed. If you have Radiant Magic spells or arrows that deal this type of damage, position yourself at the very end of the bridge and shoot at the boss until he comes to a dangerous distance.
In addition to his standard attacks, he can pour lava from his shield onto the ground. He will then create a totem that increases the boss's fire damage. Destroy it as soon as possible to weaken Ruiner.
If you notice that the boss is rubbing his foot on the ground and moving it behind him, it means that he is about to charge. If you have plenty of space, back away, otherwise dodge behind him. Be careful of the arena surface, for there will be fields of fire there.
When the boss stomps the ground with his foot, he will create two minefields that will explode after a while. What's more, after this offensive action, he will fire a projectile from the shield. Retreat as far as possible to avoid taking damage.
Rewards
For defeating Ruiner, you will receive the following rewards:
- Ruiner Axe,
- A random piece of Ruinerarmor,
- Vestige seed.
