Vigor points have several uses in Lords of the Fallen 2023. In the guide, we suggest what is the best way to spend accumulated vitality on besides leveling characters.
Last update: 16 October 2023
Vigor can help you strenghten your hero in Lords of the Fallen, but it also has other uses. On this page of the guide, we have included advice on what to spend your Vigor on first to ensure good progression and access to valuable items.
Tips on how to obtain Vigor can be found on a separate page of our guide. How to accumulate Vigor (XP)?.
Leveling up your character
- Vigor should be treated primarily as XP. Each time you collect enough points, you can return to any of active Vestige, select the Upgrade Character command, and spend your health to level up your character.
- Each levelup enables you to increase any of your attributes by 1. Thanks to this, you can improve the attack power, stamina, health bar and magical abilities of your character. This may consequently help you eliminate enemies faster and withstand their attacks.
- An additional advantage of frequent leveling is that you avoid having large amounts of Vigor on hand. You don't have to worry too much about losing Vigor after you die (assuming you failed to regain it).
Shopping at NPCs
We recommend investing Vigor in leveling up your character in the first hours of the game to develop it sufficiently. The situation will change after unlocking access to Skyrest. From this point on, you should also spend some of your accumulated Vigor on purchasing unique items. We recommend purchasing:
- Ring of Duty - sold by Stomund for 3,000 Vigor. It increases your Vitality and Endurance by 1 and may slightly improve your chances of survival.
- Pilgrim's Perch Key - stomund offers it for 9,500 Vigor points. It unlocks access to new optional locations, including a quite important one where the blacksmith Gerlinde is located.
- Umbral Scouring - Molhu offers these items and each item costs 1000 Vigor.
- Vestige Seed - Molhu sells these for 2,500 Vigor per piece. It's worth always having one on hand so that you can interact with a seedling and create a new place to rest and fast travel in the game world.
- Eye of Vengeance - they are available from Molhu and each of them requires 1,000 Vigor points.
We do not recommend spending Vigor on common consumable items, as well as on less unique weapons and armor pieces. You can find many of these items (or even better ones) as free loot by exploring the game world.
