Farming Simulator 22: Soil rolling FS 22 guide, tips
On this page of the Farming Simulator 22 guide, you will learn what Soil rolling is.
Last update: 02 December 2021
Below you'll learn about soil rolling: one of the new activities in Farming Simulator 22. You'll find out when to do the rolling, which machines to use and whether the rolling increases yields.
What is soil rolling?
Soil rolling can be performed after plowing / cultivating (which is completely optional) or after sowing / planting. It allows you to smooth out the soil's surface to improve its parameters and press small rocks deeper into the ground. Using rollers is quick and easy (they don't cost much for how much space they cover).
Soil rolling increases yield by 5% (and removes small rocks).
After the rolling, your field is attributed the Seedbed status - unless it was performed after sowing.
How to roll soil?
Only Dalbo machines (in the base game) can be used for soil rolling - they can be found in the shop's Rollers category. Simply unfold the device and start driving around the field: you'll immediately notice the seedbed changing. Rollers work in any direction.
