Farming Simulator 22: Creating, merging and deleting fields FS 22 guide, tips
In this Farming Simulator 22 guide you will learn how to merge and split fields, create new fields and delete old ones.
Last update: 02 December 2021
This page focuses on agricultural fields/lands - how to create new fields, how to separate large fields, how to combine smaller fields into a larger one, or how to remove a field from a plot.
Creating fields
On each plot you own, you can create, enlarge, reduce or even completely remove the cultivated area. To create a field, you must use a plow - but it can't be a subsoiler or a spader. Deploy it and start plowing in the place where you want to create/expand the field - activating the new Allow create fields function is crucial [default Y]. In this way, you can also combine two fields into one - as long as they are not separated by a strip of neutral ground (e.g. asphalt road, which does not belong to the plot and can not be purchased). Employees will work on connected fields.
Dividing/deleting fields
To delete or split a field (and to remove the grass), you must use terrain shaping tools. You will find them in the menu, in the Building section, the same one for placing new buildings. The last tab is for shaping the terrain. Here you can select any texture of the ground and place it where you want to cut/remove the field. M and N keys let you adjust the size of the brush. Remember that using the brush costs you a little bit of money. However, if you only have a small work to do, you won't even feel this in your expenditure.
Tip: to divide the field evenly with a narrow strip, position the camera perpendicular to the drawing line, hold the button and move with the arrows/analog stick, not with the cursor.
