On this page you will read about greenhouses in Farming Simulator 22.

The following guide page describes the cultivation of plants in greenhouses in Farming Simulator 22. You will learn how greenhouses differ, what products can be grown in them, and what you need to grow plants.
Greenhouse models
There are three models of greenhouses:
- Small - €3,000. Water capacity: 5,000L. Water consumption per hour: 2x16 liters.
- Medium - €5,000. Water capacity: 10,000l. Water consumption per hour: 2x28 liters.
- Large - €10,000. Water capacity: 20,000l. Water consumption per hour: 2x64 liters.
Water
Water consumption is converted into product quantity, as in factories, depending on the type of plant - one of three that you can plant in greenhouses:
- 1l of water - 1l of tomatoes
- 1l of water - 0.5l of lettuce,
- 1l of water - 2l of strawberries.
Pay attention to the mistake of the water-to-lettuce converter in the small greenhouse, which is approx. 1l of water per 1/3 of lettuce. Therefore, it should not be grown in a small greenhouse.
Greenhouses require only water. When the greenhouse is activated in the production chain management menu, the growth and harvesting of plants will begin in an hourly cycle. You can choose the type of plants you want to grow manually in the greenhouse or from the menu. Water can be transported by tankers. You can find them in the store - the Animals tab. Please note whether the tank is suitable for transporting water (for example, some tank trailers are used only for transporting fuel).
How to get water?
Water is not expensive - you can get it from wells (real estate). They do not take up much space, but water from a well will cost you money. It won't be a lot, but with high water consumption by greenhouses, you will feel a reduced profit after selling your harvest.
A better idea is to build many greenhouses near natural reservoirs - you will get water for free (the trailer or at least its back must be placed in the water - you can't get water from every reservoir/river).
Production and harvesting
Production is quite fast, as the pallets won't be able to hold a lot of vegetables. Fortunately, they are light - you can stack them manually on the trailer, which will certainly speed up cleaning the unloading zone.
The crops appear immediately on pallets in the area next to the greenhouse - they will be ready for sale. Only strawberries can be processed in the factory (The Bakery needs strawberries to make Cakes).
