In Farming Simulator 22 by default, when you drive a vehicle into a field with plants in a high degree of development, they will be destroyed. On this page, you will learn why this happens and how to prevent it by using narrow tires.
Narrow Tires
Use narrow tires to avoid damaging crops when driving into them. Many vehicles, including tractors, can use them. The tires are available in the shop when you are purchasing a vehicle. They can also be found in the workshop when modifying the vehicles.
Narrow tires provide less traction but allow you to move freely around the field without destroying plants. This is especially important during seasonal work (weeding/spraying or fertilizing), as well as during harvesting by emptying the harvester.
A partial solution to the problem with lower traction is the use of narrow twin wheels.
Game settings
You can disable the plant destruction option in the game options. You should leave this option as disabled, especially since careless workers can often destroy crops with heavy equipment (for example, when straightening the harvester).
