In Farming Simulator 22, you can buy and build various types of buildings. On this page of the guide, you will learn how to build new buildings and factories and how to shape the terrain.
Build mode
Use Build Mode to build such properties as farmhouses, animal pens, silos, and factories. To start it, open the shopping menu (by default P) and select the last item in the menu on the left. Then select the Construction from the new menu. You can also choose a faster build mode by pressing Shift+P.
This will activate the build mode map. By holding LMB, you can rotate and move the camera. Use RMB to rotate the object.
Buildings are divided into several main categories and subcategories. In the lower right corner, you will find a brief description of the building and its features.
Erecting buildings
You can only put real estate on your own plots, with moderate curvature or flat. However, you will also have to pay a fee for leveling the terrain. Objects cannot interfere with fields and as well as other objects and plants.
Always try to put buildings away from each other and on the flattest terrain - this will later make it easier to work with buildings and goods deliveries.
Modification of the terrain
To manipulate the terrain, go to the last tab called Landscaping in the build mode. Here you can level, lower and raise the terrain, as well as change its texture. Increase and decrease the brush size with M/N.
You pay for the time of work, not the result - the money leaves your account when you hold LMB, even if you do not landscape anything.
You can use the textures of the terrain to get rid of the grass and to destroy/divide/level the cultivated fields.
