Farming Simulator 22: Why animals don't make manure? FS 22 guide, tips
In this tutorial page, you will learn what to do to make cows and pigs start producing manure in Farming Simulator 22.

The following page explains why cows and pigs do not produce manure by default in Farming Simulator 22, even if the basic conditions of breeding are met, such as having a cowshed/pigsty and supplying straw.
Pigs and cows are the only animals that produce natural fertilizers in Farming Simulator 22. The basic requirement is to provide straw. You can observe its condition in the menu. Straw is obtained while harvesting cereals (wheat, barley, oats), with the correct setting of the harvester (straw mowing) and collecting it from the field. You can't produce fertilizer from sheep or horses (although these animals also need straw for optimal breeding conditions).
Straw, however, is not enough. If the slurry tank (liquid fertilizer) is located under the farm building and is discharged through a pipe near the building, the manure must be stored in a special "prism". It needs to be built. You can find it in the Silo Extensions tab (not in the Silo tab, this is a basic error) - Heap Manure Extension. It is also important to place it at a short distance from the building with animals.
If you put a prism near two pigsties, it will collect manure from both. If you do this and want to make sure you get the right amount of manure, compare it to the amount of slurry produced in both buildings: the monthly manure production is about 50% of the slurry production.
