The map above depicts Watershapers Guild. This is one of the most important locations in Neketaka town. This building is located in Periki's Overlook district. You can explore both the main floor and the ruins located beneath the guild (however, the ruins can be fully explored in the later part of the game).

Important places in the Watershapers Guild

1. Main hall. During your first visit you can talk to the Guildmaster Mairu and to Tekehu - he's one of the main companions you can add to your party (Tekehu can be a Druid, a Chanter or a multiclass character).

5. Stone door. The door is closed by default and there's no way of opening it. You must start the The Shadows Under Neketaka received from the queen (M25,8), obtain the Rod of the Deep Hunter and use it to solve the puzzle. Its solution can be found below.

After triggering the scripted interaction, you will see a disk with four symbols:

[1] - Moon

[2] - Ngati

[3] - Hands

[4] - Rain

Use the dialog lines to rotate the dial (clockwise or counter-clockwise) and press the symbols by using dialog options. After using "Press the dial" option the game will press only the symbol that is currently on the top (the picture 1 shows this situation - here, we pressed the Moon symbol).

Open the door by pressing the symbols in the following order: NgatiMoonRainHands. This unlocks the entrance. The passageway leads to Scoyrielaphas' Prison (M33,9).

6. Periki's Tomb. During your first visit here, you will meet Ekenu and ask him a few questions. The sarcophagus has a trap - it contains a high-quality armor and other loot. You can examine the statue and read its soul.

You will meet Guildmaster Mairu here while completing The Shadows Under Neketaka quest (you can also talk to her soul).

8. Grotto. The grotto is empty at first. Coral Nagas will appear here while completing The Shadows Under Neketaka quest. Kill Zihaa and search its corpse to collect the Rod of the Deep Hunter (use it to solve the puzzle in (M33,5)).

9. Scoyrielaphas' Prison. You will get here after opening the stone door in (M33,5). Meeting with the dragon is an important part of The Shadows Under Neketaka quest (M25,8). You can murder the dragon (expect a tough fight - it's a boss), make sure that it doesn't get out or set it free.

Quests that can be continued in the Watershapers Guild

[Huana] The Shadows Under Neketaka (M25) - Explore the guild after it gets attacked by Coral Nagas (the attack happens automatically after starting the quest).

Important NPCs in Watershapers Guild

Tekehu (M33,1) - You can recruit him to your party (Tekehu can be a Druid, a Chanter or a multiclass character).

Scoyrielaphas (M33,9) - You can meet the dragon only after starting The Shadows Under Neketaka quest. The game gives you a choice: you can kill him, imprison again or set the dragon free.

Types of enemies and monsters in Watershapers Guild

Coral Naga - You have already encountered them on Hasongo island. Coral Nagas are serpent-like creatures but they are also sentient beings. They are divided into warriors and archers. They can also poison enemies with venom. Coral Nagas are invulnerable to Dexterity afflictions. The strongest Naga found in the Watershapers Guild is called Zihaa. Try to focus your attacks on this opponent.

Totem - Totems can't attack your party but they can be used to summon Blights and other non-material creatures. These objects should be your main target at the start of each fight.

Scoyrielaphas - The fight with the dragon can happen only because of you, that is if you decide to kill or imprison the dragon - Pillars Of Eternity 2: Watershapers Guild - Map - Maps - Pillars Of Eternity 2 Deadfire Game Guide

Scoyrielaphas - The fight with the dragon can happen only because of you, that is if you decide to kill or imprison the dragon. Obviously, this very powerful enemy can be treated as a boss. Try to have your party at level 12-13 before you face this enemy. Scoyrielaphas, just like any other dragon, can breathe fire. The small domes on the arena can protect you from this attack. Keep your weaker party members inside of them and order stronger and more resistant characters to attack the dragon. Scoyrielaphas is immune to water and Dexterity, Intellect and Resolve afflictions. The dragon is also resistant to Might and Perception afflictions. Also, Water Whips can appear during the fight. Hide inside the domes to protect your party members from them (+20 to water damage resistance) and focus on attacking the dragon.

Other information related to the Watershapers Guild

Go to the guild during your first visit in Tekenaka to recruit Tekehu. This is especially important when your party lacks a character who can use magic.

The guild is an unusual place because this location doesn't remain the same throughout the entire game. It gets attacked after your return from Hasongo island and the meeting with the queen in Tekenaka which happens during the main storyline. Luckily, you don't have to hurry up with completing The Shadows Under Neketaka side quest. A well-developed party is recommended in case you cause a fight with the dragon kept inside of the ruins.
