Runed boulder. A large group of lagufaeths and scarab beetles is here. You must also watch out for a trap.
Grove. You must defeat a couple of stronger monsters here - assassin vine, delemgan and jungle lurker. Examining a large chest triggers a scripted interaction - you can open it by passing the Might test, using a torch, a fire ability or a freeze ability. A unique hatchet Vion-ceth is inside the chest.
Waterfall. Lagufaeth Broodmother will show herself for the first time. Keep going to the Broodmother's Perch (05).
Broodmother's Perch. Lagufaeth Broodmother can be found here and the creature is tied to the "Broodmother's Fury" side quest (M27,4). You can kill the broodmother and all other lagufaeths or help the broodmother in releasing her young (M27,3) and then leave her in peace. There are two chests with minor loot in the lair, one of them has a trap.
The map above depicts Hohina Ravine located on Tikawara island . This a relatively small location that is visited during one of the side quests in Pillars of Eternity 2 Deadfire . This location is full of monsters and some of them can be a real challenge for your party. Besides that, you can also find a few valuable pieces of equipment.
Important places in Hohina Ravine 3. Grove. You must defeat a couple of stronger monsters here - an Assassin Vine , a Delemgan and a Jungle Lurker .
Examine the large chest to trigger a scripted interaction - you can open it by passing the Might test (a character that participates in this test should have 16 points or more), using a torch, a fire ability or a freeze ability . A unique Vion-ceth hatchet is inside the chest.
5. Broodmother's Perch. Lagufaeth Broodmother can be found here and the creature is tied to the Broodmother's Fury side quest (M27,4) . You can kill the broodmother and all other Lagufaeth or help the broodmother in releasing her young (M27,3) and then leave her in peace.
There are two chests with minor loot in the lair, one of them has a trap.
Quests that can be continued in Hohina Ravine [Missions] Broodmother's Fury (M27) - Reach Broodmother's Perch (M28,5) and decide what you want to do with the Lagufaeth Broodmother .
Types of enemies and monsters found in Hohina Ravine Lagufaeth Mage - Mages can use a few different spells, e.g. Necrotic Lance. Kill them as fast as you can in melee combat to hinder their casting spells ability.
Lagufaeth Sidewinder - This Rogues can use certain abilities that may be familiar to you, e.g. Crippling Strike.
Lagufaeth Redfin - This is a stronger version of Lagufaeth. Some of their abilities can be very problematic. Kill them as fast as you can.
Scarab Beetle
Delemgan - These enemies are invulnerable to Dexterity based abilities. Also, they use a few troublesome spells, e.g. charm that can turn one of your companions against the entire party. Luckily, Delemgan aren't very durable.
Assassin Vine - Vines protruding from ground have a longer reach than you might think. They are also invulnerable to Intellect and Resolve based abilities.
Jungle Lurker - This monster uses, e.g. Knock Down which can be dangerous to weaker party members. These creatures are invulnerable to Intellect based abilities and resistant to Resolve based abilities.
Lagufaeth Broodmother - The fight with Broodmother is optional because this quest can be completed without bloodshed. If you chose to fight, expect a bigger challenge when compared to fights with other Lagufaeth.
Other information related to Hohina Ravine Don't be in a hurry with exploring the areas of the ravine - some of the more traitorous places are filled with traps. They can be especially troublesome if you don't disarm them before starting a battle. Use stealth while you are exploring the ravine to detect traps. Disarm them before you start fighting or lure monsters towards them.
