Pillars Of Eternity 2: Distributing attributes Pillars Of Eternity 2 Guide and Walkthrough
Last update: 20 November 2022
Depending on the class you choose, you begin your adventure with a given set of attributes - these factors determine both physical and mental strength of your character. By distributing the attributes you can e.g. create a strong and durable character at the cost of little agility and no skills in diplomacy.
High-level attributes unlock unique dialogue options and create interesting scenarios. For example, at some point, you are bound to encounter a closed door. A strong character will easily force the door. However, a character with high perception ratio will detect the well-hidden opening mechanisms, etc.
Each character is described with six attributes:
- Might - affects both physical strength and the power of spells. Might influence the Fortitude factor. One Might point adds: +3% Damage and Healing, +2 Fortitude.
- Constitution - determines the character's overall endurance. One Constitution point adds +5% Health and +2 Fortitude.
- Dexterity - determines character's speed and reflexes. One Dexterity point adds +3% Action Speed and +2 Reflex.
- Perception - affects character's aim and reflexes. Each Perception point adds +2 Accuracy and +4 Reflexes.
- Intellect - affects Will, Defense, and all abilities' Area of Effect. One Intellect point adds +6% Area of Effect, +5% Duration, and +2 Will.
- Resolve - affects your character's Determination and endurance. One Resolve point adds +1 Deflection and +2 Will.
It is worth mentioning that multiple items, abilities, etc. influence given parameters. The game facilitates distributing the attributes - depending on the class you pick, you can see a star (either gold or silver) next to some of the factors. This is a clear indication that a certain class could use e.g. intellect much more that perception. Keep that in your mind when creating a character.
