Pillars Of Eternity 2: Cruel Cargo - Walkthrough Pillars Of Eternity 2 Guide and Walkthrough
Last update: 20 November 2022
On this page you will find walkthrough for side quests of Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire, which you can start during your stay on the Ori o Koiki island. It's a good idea to get involved in these quests, because you can gain a lot of experience, various prizes and improve your relationship with the Huan faction (you can in turn become a deadly enemy for the slavers).
Cruel Cargo
How to unlock: Talk to chieftain Ruasare in the throne room (M38,7)
You can get to the meet Ruasare, for example, by completing the following quests: Fruitful Alliance (M25), A Shrewd Proposition (M36), and The Tip of the Spear (M37). The leader of the Wahaki tribe wants to stop the slavers and save the people they are holding prisoner. You must therefore visit the Crookspur Island. Possible actions are featured on the page with the walkthrough of the quest A Shrewd Proposition and on the page featuring map M37, here is a short reminder:
- Master Kua is the leader of the slavers and you will find him in his office inside the fort (M37,13). Initiating a duel with him will also force you to get rid of all the slavers and ogres that are present in the area. After winning the battle, examine Master Kua's corpse and take his head with you as a trophy.
- The slaves are detained in the dungeons, best reached through the underwater cave (M37,3). They are held in the Wahaki cell (M37,14) and in the slave cell (M37,17). You can open the cells by relying on the Mechanics skill or using the key taken from the ogre taskmaster in the torture room (M37,16). It is best to send the released persons back to the beach through the cave. In the case of the Wahaki prisoners, one Bauha will want to take revenge on the slavers. You can allow her to do so, or even join her (you risk losing some of the natives), or use either Intimidation 10 or Survival 8 to persuade Bauha to change her mind and escape the fort with the others.
After taking care of Master Kua and releasing the prisoners, return to chieftain Ruasare. In addition to thanking you, she'll give a promise to ally her tribe with Queen Onekaza.
