Last update: 20 November 2022
Cignath Mór ruins (M39) is one of the optional locations in Pillars of Eternity 2 Deadfire. Visiting it is part of the Overgrowth side quest on Sayuka Island (M35). During the exploration of the ruins, you will need to, above all else, solve the described below puzzle with the painting. Completing it opens a secret chamber from which you can acquire a unique weapon.
You can start solving the puzzle after reaching the room with the painting, in the north-western part of the dungeon (M39,8). Before this happens, you can find and watch other interactive murals in the underwater ruins. Those contain hints for this puzzle, although seeing them is optional if you want to solve the puzzle with the help of our guide.
After examining the painting, the main character can press frames with images of different creatures. The correct order is:
1) Serpent
2) Shark
3) Whale
4) Kraken
As a reward for completing the puzzle, a neighboring secret chamber (M39,9) will be unlocked. There you will find a large container with the Mahora Tanga unique spear. The most important stats of this item are:
- Spear, One-handed
- Exceptional quality: +30% Damage, +8 Accuracy, +2 Penetration
- Damage: 19-28
- Penetration: 9
- +5 Accuracy
- 5 Raw bleed Damager per 3 seconds for 9 seconds after scoring a critical hit
- Unlocked unique ability called Grapple (pulls the enemy towards the character, dealing damage and stunning the target).
