You may remember Nornir Chests as one of the types of collectibles in God of War Ragnarok. In the base game, you could find Idunn Apples and Horns of Blood Mead inside. In the Valhalla DLC, Nornir Chests contain key items such as Leviathan Crests. On this page of our Valhalla DLC guide, we show where to look for Nornir Chests, how to open them, and what are the possible contents of them.
Where to look for Nornir Chests?
Unexpectedly, in Valhalla DLC for God of War Ragnarok, the locations of all Nornir Chests are completely random. Which chest you find depends on the path you've taken while exploring Valhalla. This means that you can encounter Nornir Chests both during the story or even after it.
How to open a Nornir Chest?
Depending on which Nornir Chest you encounter, there are different ways of unlocking them:
- Bells: all three bells have to be located and rung at the same time for the chest to unlock. Locate all 3 bells first, then try to ring them at the same time.
- Torches: in case of this type of chest, you need to locate 3 torches, and set them on fire with Blades of Chaos.
- Runes: some Nornir Chests are protected with powerful runes that can be destroyed by using Draupnir Spear. Place a spear in each rune, then detonate them (Triangle).
