God of War Ragnarok, a hit from PlayStation, is about to be released on PC. Of course, many players are overjoyed. However, among the enthusiastic voices, there are some which are more cautious. Right now we can find some dissatisfied people, who are not eager to create required PSN account, believing that it is an unnecessary step. We are concerned about something else, though. In a few hours GoW Ragnarok will be released. It is a good thing for PC gaming, as it is a chance to play an excellent game – always a reason to celebrate. However, we can expect a lot of players to test the title. So what, you ask? Well, the game requires PSN Account, and the connection to it has proven to be quite fragile in the past. A good example of this is Ghost of Tsushima. Many players reported issues during PC release.
Of course, problems in the past do not mean that it will be the same this time. However, it is not a good sign that players already report issues with connection to the service. There are some posts on the Steam forum regarding this topic, a few hours before the launch.
How to Fix PSN Account Connection Error in God of War (GoW) Ragnarok
So, how do deal with such issues? Keep in mind that there might be so many people in a queue to create PSN account that you will have to wait and will not be able to do anything. However, there are two tricks which may work in this case:
- Reconnect your PSN account. Go to game’s options and in Privacy Settings unlink God of War Ragnarok and relink it again.
- Change your default browser. Some of them had problems in the past with connecting to PSN (eEdge for example).
Of course, fixes presented above do not guarantee that you will be able to connect. Hopefully, they will be not needed, as the game will not have any PSN account issues. The time will tell. Good luck.
