According to unofficial info, Kratos was considering a stay in Egypt, but it's possible that the Spartan warrior might visit Hellas instead. The return of the God of War series to Greece is indicated by a source who contacted the well-known industry informant Tom Henderson. It suggests that the game will show the young days of the main character and his relationship with his father.

  • Henderson shared these reports during the episode of the Insider Gaming Weekly podcast. However, he was not able to verify this information, so the rumor might as well suggest the creation of a reboot, remake, or remaster. It's possible that we're talking about a renewed version of the original God of War trilogy - we wrote about rumors regarding it in December 2023.
  • The developers from Santa Monica Studio could also reach further, but if they wanted to delve into the protagonist's past and his relationship with his father, they would also have to consider other installments in the series. We are talking about two prequels to the first part, Chains of Olympus (released on PSP in 2008) and Ascension (PS3, 2013).
  • A good opportunity to reveal the future of the series would be at the State of Play event, which, according to rumors, is scheduled to take place on February 14th. If this happens, we will probably hear more about Death Stranding 2: On The Beach and Ghost of Yotei.

The last installment of the series remains God of War: Ragnarok - the game was released on November 9, 2022, on PS4 and PS5 consoles, and from September 19, 2024, it is also available on PCs.
