Receiving the amulet and how it works
The amulet is a unique piece of Kratos' equipment and is received after reaching a certain part of the game (winning the battle against Nidhogg in Vanaheim - the final boss of The Reckoning story quest)
From that moment, the amulet will be available in your inventory, and you can place Enchantments in its free slots.
Enchantments increase Kratos' base stats and main parameters (Vitality in the example from the screenshot). You can craft new enchantsments in shops by spending silver. Make sure to choose those that correspond with your playstyle and statistics of the hero.
Acquriing Jewels of Yggdrasil
Initially, the amulet only has 2 available slots, and to increase the number of them, you need to repair it. Repairs require unique loot item - Jewels of Yggdrasil.
There are 2 ways of obtaning them. First involves finding them in chests.
Second involves defeating elite enemies and looting them.
Where to go to get the amulet repaired?
Once you've got the necessary items, travel to any dwarven store. You need to spend 1 Jewel of Yggdrasil to unlock one new amulet slot.
From now on, you can use the slot to store Enchantsments. Make sure to always have all slots filled with Enchantsments. This is so you get as much help as you can get.
