First visit to Niflheim in main story

Niflheim is an icy realm visited very late in the main storyline - you'll go there during the Unlocking the Mask main quest, during which Atreus will be looking for one of the mask fragments.

Atreus can't finish all the optional activities here by himself, but you can return to Niflheim later on as Kratos. You will then be able to explore the realm more thoroughly.

Collectibles and side activities

There aren't many collectibles in Nifhleim - God of War Ragnarok: Interactive map - Niflheim - Interactive maps - God of War Ragnarok Guide

There aren't many collectibles in Nifhleim. The realm mostly contains legendary chests you can open by killing Odin's Ravens in other realms.

One of the most notable side activities in Niflheim is the Berserker's Tombstone, at which you'll face an optional boss.

Niflheim is home to an optional area tied to the Raven Tree. You can choose a mystic gateway off the list without meeting any additional requirements to unlock the region.

Next to the Raven Tree you'll find a battle arena and a few legendary chests you'll open by killing Odin's Ravens in other realms.
