Mystic Spearhand is one of the new classes added to Dragons Dogma 2. This is a hybrid class wielding a spear, relying on both melee combat and magic. The class is special and can only be used by the playable hero - Pawn can't use it. However, it is not available from the beginning of the game, and unlocking it requires some work. How to unlock Mystic Spearhand?

1. To unlock the Mystic Spearhand class, you must reach Vernworth, the capital of Vermund, and continue the main storyline. You will have to perform several tasks for Brant, the captain of the guard. Once you have dealt with a few of his tasks, you must return to Melve. The easiest way is to go by Oxcart - the perfect excuse is, for example, the Oxcart Courier side mission, during which you have to return to Melve using Oxcart to deliver a letter.
2. When you return, you will see that the ruins of Melve have been attacked by a dragon again. You must help the village's defenders repel the attack - fortunately, the beast will escape after depleting a few of its health bars.
3. After the battle, look around among the crowd. There will be a hooded individual with a spear on his back - that's Sigurd. Talk to him, and he will teach you his fighting style. This will unlock Mystic Spearhand - you can now purchase this class at any guild headquarters in exchange for a small amount of discipline points.
