The elven village of Sacred Arbor is a completely optional location that is not required to be visited to complete the game. However, it is worth your attention, especially if you play as the Archer vocation or plan to develop this class. On this page of the guide, we have described where to find the Sacred Arbor, what enemies may stand in your way, what you can find inside the village and how to understand the Elvish language.
Where is Sacred Arbor?
- Sacred Arbor is located west of the Melve village. Since both settlements are separated from each other by water, you will have to get there by traveling from Vernworth.
- You can be guided to the settlement by the elf Glyndwr, who knows the human language and can be found in the market square in Vernworth. To start his quest, you must give him any human-made bow - you can buy one from the armory nearby. Completing his quest is worth it, especially if you play as an Archer, because his father Taliesin will then become an Archer class Meister and teach you the special skill Heavenly Shot, which deals massive damage in exchange for absorbing all of your stamina.
- In the forest surrounding the settlement, you may encounter powerful enemies, e.g. Chimeras and Golems. Go there when you are sure you can handle them - we recommend that you be at least level 20, or maybe even a few levels higher.
What can be found in Sacred Arbor?
- Apart from the previously mentioned Heavenly Shot ability, the main attraction of the Sacred Arbor is the Grisha's Armory store. You will find there a lot of useful equipment, mainly for Archer, Mage and Sorcerer classes. They also sell weapons for the secret Magick Archer class, which you can unlock in the final stage of the game.
- The second available store, Eldart's Apothecary, sells elixirs that cure almost all status effects in the game.
How to learn the Elvish language?
- Elves speak a different language from humans, which means you are unable to communicate with them. The subtitles under the dialogues and the dialogue options are written in Elvish - you can choose dialogue options, but you won't know what they mean.
- Although your main character cannot learn Elvish, they can get a translator in the form of any Pawn with the Woodland Wordsmith specialization. As long as such a Pawn is in your party, the dialogues will be automatically written in a language understandable to you. Recruit a Pawn with this specialization before heading to the Sacred Arbor - Riftstones allow you to sort Pawns according to their specialization.
