One of the missions received from Captain Brant in Vermouth involves sneaking into the palace grounds and stealing a letter which will be evidence of the nefarious scheming of the false queen. The task is of a sneaking sort, and some directions provided by the game may be a bit enigmatic. On this page of our guide, we provide a few tips that will make completing Disa's Plot quest easier.
How to complete Disa's Plot quest?
The first step will be to initiate the task by talking to Captain Brant in the inn. After asking about the queen-regent, the man will reveal his suspicions to you and order you to steal a letter that will incriminate the false ruler. The mission marker will lead you to the Vernworth palace grounds in the southern part of the city.
As you enter the palace territory, you'll be greeted by Sonia, a guard and a trusted associate of Brant. Sonia will take you to a side entrance intended for royal guards which will allow you to enter the building undetected.
Inside the next room you'll find a chest that contains a full set of palace guard armor. Equip it to blend into the crowd and avoid being exposed. The outfit doesn't have any class restrictions and can be equipped by any character.
If you feel for it, you can use the opportunity to do some exploring around the palace and loot some treasure.
For the purpose of the quest, proceed to the main throne room. Locate a spiral staircase located near one of the walls of the room and use them to climb one floor up. Go to the western part of the floor. The mission marker will help you locate the sought room.
Inside, you'll find what you came for - a fragment of the queen's letter lying on the desk. Unexpectedly, your snooping around will be interrupted by the appearance of the queen's son - Sven. If you helped him earlier and lent him money, he will gladly help you by distracting the guards. You can learn more about the lending and Sven on a dedicated page of our guide.
After the boy distracts the guards, quickly vault through the open window to find yourself in the castle courtyard. Quickly leave the palace grounds and report to Brant waiting in the inn. Brant will reward you with a lot of gold and a Wakestone.
