Avowed: Where to find the Sarcophagus Key in the Garden?

While exploring the Garden, the final region in Avowed, you may come across a locked sarcophagus, which requires a Sarcophagus Key to open. Where is the sarcophagus in the Garden?
- The sarcophagus in question is located to the southwest of the grove, i.e. the first party camp that you can establish while exploring the Garden.
- The sarcophagus requires a key and you cannot open it with lockpicks. Unfortunately, you won't find the key anywhere nearby. Keep the sarcophagus's location in mind because you'll have to return to it later.
How to open the sarcophagus?
- Your destination is a higher rocky ledge in the northeastern part of the Broken Aqueduct area. You will reach this part of the Garden while progressing through the main quest.
- Start north of the aqueduct - in the water. Sail there to the southeast and find the brambles blocking the passage (screenshot 1). First, ignite the brambles with any ranged fire attack.
- After that, you'll need to create an ice platform on the water (see the screenshot above): use an ice grenade or any ice spell/skill to do that. This will allow you to jump from the platform to a new passage that was previously blocked by the brambles.
- Head south along the upper ledge. It leads towards the Strangled Adra, but along the way you may also find a corpse with the Sarcophagus Key. The screenshots show the place.
- Drop down to the lower level and go west a bit. In the place in the screenshot you can activate the generator (with any electrical attack) and unlock the shortcut to the grove. This will allow you to easily return to the sarcophagus.
Rewards for opening the sarcophagus
- The main reward for opening the closed sarcophagus is the legendary Spiritmender medium armor. It allows you to further extend your essence bar and gain small amounts of essence as you damage enemies.
