Rest is important not only after battle, but also during normal travel. In Avowed, you can set up your own camp to replenish supplies and chat with your companions. On this page of the guide you will learn how to set up a camp to these functions.

Setting up a camp in Avowed

To set up camp in Avowed, you must first complete the tutorial. When you reach Dawnshore, interact with the Adra roadside stone to quickly create a camp. Later, you will be able to use the map and fast travel to already discovered camps to rest there, take something from the stash, or simply talk to your companions.

Restoring health and energy

When you set up a camp and stay there, you will replenish all of your health and essence without having to use potions or food (even though there are plenty of them). You will be able to take items from your stash, provided you have previously hidden something in it. Moreover, it is possible to prepare meals for your further journey, so that you do not have to worry about consumables that replenish missing health, essence, or increase certain statistics.

Talking to companions

In the camp you can talk to your companions, which we highly recommend, especially if you see an exclamation mark next to their icon - it means they have something important to say. Sometimes after a conversation certain statistics of your companions will increase. You can also change their outfit (if you have any) at a camp.

Enchanting and upgrading armor

The most important thing, however, is that the camp is a place where you can enchant weapons and upgrade your weapons and armor at the appropriate workbenches. Therefore, when you notice that there is an opportunity to improve your equipment (anvil icon), it is worth doing that.

Weather and voice in the camp

Usually, when you are in a camp, the time of day changes to night. Unfortunately, after leaving camp, you will most likely start in the morning. What is important, however, is that during the night you may have a conversation with a "voice", which is a narrative element of the game. Once you complete several main quests in a row, it's worth returning to the camp for that reason as well.
