How to unlock the Shatterscarp region?

Shatterscarp is a desert and the third region you visit. You can get there during the main quest A Path to the Garden. The first objective of the mission is to reach Thirdborn city, but there is no need to rush and you can freely explore the large open map.

Thirdborn

Thirdborn is a city in the southern part of the Shatterscarp region. After reaching this place in the main quest A Path to the Garden, you must first defend the city during a large battle in front of its northern gate. Only after defeating all enemies and talking to the guards will you be allowed inside.

In Thirdborn you can find traders and quest givers. Unfortunately, not all areas of the city are accessible, some only serve as background.

Ryngrim's Domain

This is a unique ice dungeon that you will reach during the main quest Face Your Fears. The dungeon has its own map - with our help, you will learn where to find 3 quest items needed to solve Ryngrim's Domain puzzle.

Naku Kubel

Naku Kubel is a large ruin in the western part of the region. Its exploration is initially limited, as access to the main part of the ruins is blocked by a huge barrier (image above). The only way to remove it is to get there with Yatzli during the main quest Shadows of the Past. Once the barrier is lifted, the party will be able to access the ruins and complete several trials there.

Totem Fragments

The Shatterscarp region contains 6 Totem Fragments and 1 Totem Core. Completing all of these secrets will allow you to place a fully complete totem in your party camp. It will provide you with various useful stat bonuses.

Treasure Maps

In Shatterscarp you can get 3 different treasure maps and each one contains a drawing that will lead you to hidden treasure. Our interactive map will tell you where the treasures are and what unique loot you can obtain.

Strangled Adra and Voice's Memory

Two unique secrets to find in the Shatterscarp region. Strangled Adra rewards with XP and a free very rare material. Ancient Memory will allow you to unlock a new passive ability.

Illusion Puzzles

Illusion removal puzzles are a new type of puzzle you can do in the Shatterscarp region. It is worth traveling with Yatzli and using her ability to get rid of illusions. Thanks to this, you can, for example, discover secret passages or loot hidden chests.

Fast Travel Beacons

Fast Travel Points helps a lot in traveling around Shatterscarp - you can activate them by approaching them. Discovered fast travel points are visible on the map. Fast travel is free.

Party Camps

In various parts of the desert map you will find Adra Waystones. Touching such an object for the first time will unlock the ability to create a party camp in that location.

Party Camp allows you to replenish health and essence. You can also meet up with your party members, change their appearance, store unnecessary items in the Party Stash, upgrade and enchant gear, and construct totems.

Quests

In Shatterscarp you will complete several major quests required to advance further in the main storyline. You can also do side quests. Our interactive maps show quest givers, quest items, and key locations related to quests.

In Thirdborn you will find the Bounty Board and thanks to it you can also do Bounties. We have marked the hideouts of wanted bandits and monsters. Many of the quests will have you facing bosses, and we've marked the locations where you can fight them.

Companion

Yatzli is the final main companion. You can recruit this character in Shatterscarp. Our interactive map shows where that companion is and what are the requirements to recruit her.

Merchants

In Shatterscarp you can earn valuable gear as well as new rare items and crafting materials. One way to obtain them is to visit merchants - we have marked their shops on the map. They sell, e.g. weapons, armor, consumables, medicines, lockpicks, treasure maps and crafting materials.

Keys and Locked areas

Keys found throughout the game world can help you reach all of Shatterscarp's secrets, and our interactive map will show you where to use them. We have also marked all locked passages and containers. From their descriptions you can learn about the requirements to unlock them (e.g. using lockpicks).

Adra, Lockpicks and Chests

Our interactive map shows where you can find the rare Adra material (Awakened Adra and Corrupted Adra varieties) and lockpicks necessary for picking locks.

We've also marked various types of loot containers. Some of them contain unique gear, such as special weapons, armor, rings or amulets.
