Avowed: Should you free Ilora?

Where is Ilora in the quest On Strange Shores?

1. Ilora is the second character you can meet during the game - it's part of the first main quest On Strange Shores.
2. You need to follow a linear path through the starting location until you reach a place where the new main mission objective requires you to burn the brambles. Explore the area on the left. Ilora is in prison and you can talk to her to learn why she ended up in a cell. You will also learn about her boat, which you can use to sail to Dawnshore.

Should I free Ilora? How to free Ilora?

1. Ilora poses no threat to you in the prologue quest and there is no risk involved in helping her escape. It's worth helping her.
2. Begin climbing at the location with the cages to reach the upper area. In the new location, destroy the part of the floor shown in the screenshot. This will allow you to jump into a locked room.

1. In the new room, in addition to the loot, you will also find the cell key (see the screenshot above). Unlock the door here and return to Ilora.
2. You can open both cells - Ilora's and the adjacent one (you will find additional loot there). As a result, Ilora will join your team. She can assist you in battles later in the campaign introduction.

1. Ilora and Garryck will leave the party after reaching Dawnshore, i.e. after starting the next main quest A Message from Afar. You can talk to her at the dock and then start exploring the new region on your own.

Meeting Ilora again - Escape Plan quest

1. If you got Ilora out of the cell and reached Dawnshore with her, the woman may also appear later in the game. There is a side quest related to it, Escape Plan, which involves a couple met in the Shantytown location, who are trying to escape from the Aedyran authorities. You can offer them help and first find the 2 items.

1. You need to meet with the smugglers - find Captain Soldis, because you need to talk to her, but Ilora may also be in the smugglers' camp (image above).

1. When talking to the captain, you can ask her to honor the original agreement with the couple from Shantytown. Ilora may intercede on the hero's behalf several times as a thank you for helping her earlier.
2. The result of your negotiations will be that Captain Soldis will agree to the previous conditions - you will not have to pay extra, and there is no risk of starting a fight with the smugglers. You can thank Ilora and return to the couple to deliver the good news and complete the quest.
