Keybindings not working in Avowed? Keyboard settings keep resetting each time you enter the game
Players have problems with keybindings in Avowed. The game does not remember choices.
Do you like Pillars of Eternity and its unique world? If your answer is yes, then you should check out Avowed, as this RPG takes place in the same universe. Keep in mind that it is no longer cRPG, though, be prepared for more action. It means that you will need a comfortable keybindings (especially for those potions and “mana”), am I right? However, this task is more difficult than you think, as keyboard settings keep resetting themselves and it can cause deaths!
Keybindings not working in Avowed
The issue should be fixed now.
It seems that we have to wait for some patches. First of all, shader compilation can cause crashes. Secondly, keybindings are not remembered by the game. I had been killed twice, before I learned my lesson that I should revisit keyboard settings every time after starting the game. At this point there is no solution to that. We must be patient.
All we can do is wait for developers to fix the issue, or for some clever fans to find a workaround. Hopefully, taking into consideration how common this problem is, it should not take long.
