  2. Shatterscarp,
  3. Galawian's Tusks,
  4. Garden.

How to unlock Dawnshore?

The protagonists will reach Dawnshore by boat after completing the prologue, i.e. after completing the main quest On Strange Shores. When you arrive in Dawnshore, a new main quest Message from Afar will begin.

You can now freely roam through Dawnshore and discover its secrets. The game will not allow you to return to the starting region of Fort Northreach. The next region, Emerald Stair, is also initially locked - you must first advance in the main storyline.

Southern Paradis and Paradis Hightown

Paradis is the largest city in Dawnshore. It consists of two parts. You can enter the southern part of the city from the main map of the region. An important story cutscene will take place there where you will be transported to the clinic. After that, you will resume exploring the city.

Paradis Hightown is a separate northern part of the city and you can get there through the large gate. The northern city is treated as a separate location and can be found on our interactive map.

Fast Travel Beacons

As you travel around Dawnshore, you will discover fast travel points by simply getting close to them.

Beacons are shown on the in-game map. Fast travel is activated for free. This allows you to quickly move to the next quest location.

You can read more about this on the Is there fast travel? page.

Party Camps

In addition to Fast Travel Beacons, you can also stumble upon Adra Waystones. The first interaction with each of them will unlock the ability to create a Party Camp in that location.

Party Camp allows you to regenerate your health and Essence. You can also meet up with your party members, change their appearance, store unnecessary items in the Party Stash, upgrade and enchant gear, and construct totems.

Companions

Our interactive map shows where in Dawnshore Kai and Marius will join your team.

Recruiting both of these companions is part of the main storyline, but you still need to reach specific quest locations. It is worth doing this as early as possible so as to explore Dawnshore as a party of three.

Merchants and NPCs

In Dawnshore, merchants appear mainly in villages and towns. Most importantly, they offer gear: weapons, armor, consumables, medicines, lockpicks, treasure maps and crafting ingredients. In addition, you can also sell them unnecessary items from your inventory.

Your character can also talk to NPCs - this is an opportunity to have a short conversation and obtain valuable information or gold as a gift.

Quests, Bounties and Bosses

Dawnshore offers both main quests and side quests. They have their own separate tabs in the journal. For optional quests, you need to reach the quest giver or collect a quest item: our interactive map shows all these locations.

In Paradis you will also find a Bounty Board for accepting jobs involving killing monsters and fugitives. The map shows their locations and the rewards for defeating them.

Many quests have bosses associated with them that have their own long health bars. Their lairs are marked on the map.

Locked Passages and Lockpicks

Locked passages and containers are also included on the interactive map. You can use either keys or lockpicks to open them. We have also marked a few spots where you can purchase lockpicks. This will come in handy once you need to stock up on them.

We wrote more on this topic on the How to use lockpicks? page.

Treasure Maps

There are several Treasure Maps you can obtain in Dawnshore and we've marked the locations where you can either collect or purchase them.

Each map leads to a specific treasure from Dawnshore and they are also shown on our map. Many of them are in well hidden places.

Totem Fragments

The map will also tell you where to look for Totem Fragments to construct a totem, which can be placed in a Party Camp. Dawnshore also features a quest related to these items.

We have dedicated a separate page to this topic - All totem fragments.

Dungeons and Change Region spots

There are several optional dungeons to explore in Dawnshore. Each of them has one or more entrances and they are marked on our map. Exploring dungeons can lead to completing side quests, boss encounters, or collecting unique loot.

Our Dawnshore map also shows the Change Region point, where you can proceed to the next region, Emerald Stair. We also explain what is required to do it.

Chests and Unique Gear

We've also marked larger chests, in which you can find gold, weapons, armor and crafting ingredients.

Additionally, we've marked locations with Unique Gear, which is more valuable than standard gear, offering various useful stat bonuses.
