Avowed: How to leave Dawnshore and change region?

Where can I move to the second region?
- Dawnshore is the first major region in the game, if we don't count the small fort visited as part of the campaign introduction. This is a large open map where you will spend several to a dozen or so hours. Fortunately, this is not the only location visited during the game.
- The passage to the second region, Emerald Stair, is in the southeastern part of Dawnshore. It's part of Southern Embrace, at the Emerald Stair Gatehouse.
How do I unlock the bridge to Emerald Stair?
- Initially, you cannot enter the second region. The team will not be allowed to leave Dawnshore due to lack of a necessary permit.
- You must complete the entire main quest An Untimely End, during which you will visit various locations in Dawnshore and the city of Paradis. This mission ends with another conversation with the Ambassador and a new main quest, The Animancy Method, will begin.
- You can now return to the Gatehouse in Emerald Stair. The giant drawbridge will be lowered. Talk to Edda to confirm that you want to travel to the new region.
Is it possible to return to previous regions?
- Heading to Emerald Stair doesn't mean that it's a one-way trip. After reaching the second region, you can use the gate to return to Dawnshore. So, there is no pressure to complete all journal quests or explore all of Dawnshore before heading off to Emerald Stair.
- Unfortunately, you cannot return to the North Fort from the prologue. However, it was a small and linear location that was only intended to introduce you to the plot and familiarize you with the basic gameplay mechanics.
