Avowed: How to collect Adra?

What is Adra in Avowed? On this page of the guide you will learn about the importance of this crafting ingredient. What is Adra used for?

1. Adra is a raw material used to upgrade the unique weapons and armor you will earn in the game. It appears on the list of requirements when trying to increase the quality class of your equipment, e.g. to Fine (example in the screenshot). This is an important step because upgrading your equipment to higher quality will allow you to engage in combat with more difficult opponents.

How to get Adra for free?

1. Adra appears as rare loot and can appear in dungeons or boss fights locations. After the fight is over, always check the corpse of the boss/elite enemy (example in the screenshot) and large crates in the area.

1. You can earn Adra by completing unique locations on the world map. An example is Strangled Adra, which can be found in the eastern part of the Dawnshore region.
2. Pass through the Precarious Hold and reach the Strangled Adra to purify it. As a reward, you will receive XP and 1 piece of Adra.

1. Yet another technique is to dismantle unique weapons and armor from your inventory (the entire process is described on the What to do with unwanted items? page). The item description will specify if you can obtain Adra by disassembling it (example in the screenshot). We recommend doing this only if you do not need the unique item and are not interested in its stat bonuses.

Where to buy Adra?

1. Adra appears at certain merchants and you can come across the first few while exploring the city of Paradis. These include Gweneth, who can be found in the southern part of the city and Sanza in the northern part of the city.
2. 1 piece of adra costs as much as 625 gold. In the early stages of the game, we recommend upgrading only the most important items (you will find higher quality items as you progress through the game) and relying mainly on collecting Adra in the form of free loot.

How to obtain rarer variants of Adra?

1. Adra is not a material that in its basic form will suffice for the entire game. You will need rare variants in subsequent regions and for higher quality equipment. These include Awakened Adra and Corrupted Adra.
2. All basic methods of obtaining them remain the same - you can search the world for material or buy it from traders. The rarer the type of Adra, the higher its price. 1 piece of this ingredient can cost up to several thousand gold.
3. A new way to obtain rare types of Adra is using crafting. Return to the party camp, go to the Workbench and go to the material crafting tab. To produce rarer variants you need common types of Adra. For example, it takes 3 standard Adra to craft 1 Awakened Adra.
