Obsidian really went the extra mile with tons of FPP settings and accessibility options – they definitely did their homework! Some voices are just instantly recognizable, even when the actor’s trying to switch it up from their last big role. Take Neil Newbon, no matter what, you can’t unhear that voice, whether he’s Astarion in Baldur’s Gate 3 or Isaac Johnson in Deliver Us Mars. And Ben Starr? Yeah, I’d recognize him in a heartbeat – he’s Clive in Final Fantasy XVI and Prometheus in Hades II. But Kai from Avowed? That one had me scratching my head until I finally figured out where I’d heard him before.

Some players are convinced that Sanza from Avowed (that merchant you seem to run into in just about every region) is voiced by Jon Curry, the same guy who did Zevran Arainai in Dragon Age Origins. I honestly have no clue if that’s true, but man, their voices do sound pretty similar.
