On this page of the Assassin's Creed Valhalla guide, you will find a detailed walkthrough of The Big Finish's mission.
The hasty construction of Asgard's defenses raises suspicions and prompts desperate ideas.
Reward: 5100 XP.
Examine the Builder's tower
Head to the Indre Holm area to check out the tower erected by the mysterious Constructor. The man has taken precautions for any eventuality - the tower is not yet operational, and one rune is missing, which he will add only after the nuptials.
After a while, the rest of the gods, led by Freya, will appear on the scene. The Constructor will notice that the queen is scowling at him and will demand an explanation. You can answer as you wish, as it will not affect the future course of the events.
When the kiss occurs, Thor and Tyr are clearly amused by something. At this point, it will appear that Loki has impersonated Freya and appeared at the construction site.
When the Constructor demands to see the real Freya, the queen will appear right next to him. At first, she will turn to Tyr and Thor, then accuse Havi of making the entire burden of his decision, her responsibility.
- You've been ill-used: you say that you took this option for granted and admitted that you were wrong. You also say it will end now;
- My actions are justified: you justify yourself by saying that no one has done more for Asgard than you;
- The outcome is unwritten: you say that Freyja is no one's prey yet. If the need arises, you will fight for her.
Your conversation is interrupted by an angry Constructor, claiming that this is a pathetic performance orchestrated especially for him. When Havi threatens him, he replies that he will not complete his work without Freya, and he will leave. Loki declares that the Constructor is no longer needed, as he knows where Constructor keeps his enchanted paint.
Search for Builder's paint
When it comes down to it, Loki doesn't seem to know which way to go to find the Constructor's paint. Walk across the stone bridge into the woods and use Odin's Sight to illuminate the large footprints. Follow that path.
You will reach a cave entrance covered by a makeshift, wooden door. Destroy the obstacle and go underground.
You will notice runes on the red door on the left - read them. After a while, the animals resting in the cave will wake up and turn into Jotun warriors. Kill all enemies.
After the fight, talk to Loki. When you ask if he knew this Constructor before you met him at Heimdall's tower, he will immediately start messing with your head. Under a little pressure, Loki will admit that he agreed to bring him to Asgard because the Constructor saved his son from Jotunheim.
Force the red door and go to the next cave. More shapeshifters are waiting for you there - don't be surprised.
After the fight, pick up one of the crates with paint and bring it to the tower so you can paint the last rune of the protective barrier. The man will be angry that Havi managed to escape his ambush.
Once Havi completes the barrier, the Constructor will abandon his human form and transform into a giant Jotun. He'll admit himself that the barrier was not meant to protect the inhabitants of Asgard but to trap Havi inside so he could deal with him.
Defeat the Builder
The Builder is a giant-sized opponent who fights with a powerful double-handed battle-hammer. The boss has one weak spot on the top of his head. When you hit him twice, The Builder will be stunned, which opens him up for heavy damage with a single blow.
Due to his enormous size, all the attacks he makes are signaled and easily avoided.
The Builder has access to special energy attacks on top of the usual signaled attacks that can be successfully dodged. They can throw Eivor (Havi) into the air, which gives you a chance to hit the boss's vulnerable spot, but at the same time, falling from such height can result in a lot of injuries.
The Builder's second special attack is a frost energy beam that he can send across the arena floor. When Eivor (Havi) is hit, the energy will knock him to the ground, making him an easy target to attack.
When the opponent's health drops below 50%, he will use supernatural powers to strengthen himself significantly. Using his hammer, he will now create a barrier that can trap Eivor (Havi) within a small area. However, before the barrier closes, you have a few seconds to react run away. If you are caught, you will not be able to cross the barrier until its effect has passed.
Don't get caught, dodge the Boss's sweeping attacks and make quick counter-attacks, and you should be able to take down The Builder efficiently. After the fight, Eivor (Havi) will have no mercy on his opponent and immediately finish him off.
After talking to the rest of the gods, go through the gate of Jotunheim, located by Heimdall's Tower. The mission will end and you will receive 5 100 XP as a reward.
