AC Valhalla Wrath of the Druids: Is Barid right or wrong? Important choice Assassin's Creed Valhalla guide, walkthrough
Last update: 02 December 2022
On this page of the Assassin's Creed Valhalla Wrath of the Druids game guide, you will find a description of an important choice you will have to make while completing the main story quest, The Northern Reach.
Support Barid or refuse to support him?
During a conversation with Flann, Barid tries to convince the king that instead of preparing to attack, it is worth trying diplomacy first. When the king asks your opinion, you will be able to answer as follows:
- Barid is right: Eivor says his cousin is giving a wise counsel, and by agreeing to the option presented, Flann will lose nothing except time - when negotiations fail, he will respond with steel. Flann agrees and authorizes Barid to speak on his behalf;
- Barid is wrong: Eivor says that diplomacy cannot achieve what a blade can and that there is no shame in weakening the enemy from within - Barid is outraged and says he was hoping for support from his cousin. Flann claims that such an act would cast disgrace on his reign, and he authorizes Barid to speak on his behalf and sends him on a diplomatic mission;
- Don'task me: Eivor says it's not his decision to make. Flann acknowledges this, then authorizes Barid to speak on his behalf and sends him on a diplomatic mission.
As you can see, your decision won't make any difference - Barid is going on a diplomatic mission anyway.
