On this page of our guide for Assassin's Creed Valhalla you will find a detailed walkthrough for the mission called Taken.
After Eivor managed to persuade Rollo to help, you can proceed with the plan to kidnap Estrid. The incident is to take place during the Lammas celebration.
Rewards: 3400 XP.
Find and speak to Rollo
You will find Rollo near the main square. During the conversation you can choose how the kidnapping will be executed:
- Wait for my signal: tell Rollo to be on standby and wait for the signal. When you find yourself near Estrid it will be the right time to attack;
- Unleash your war dogs: Eivor tells Rollo to have his people plunder the city and sow fear. Let them behave like the barbarians they are considered to be.
There is no major difference between the two options, and the plot will follow exactly the same path. If you tell Rollo to wait, you will be able to try to eliminate several guards quietly.
Kidnap Estrid
No matter which attack scenario you decide, you have to approach Estrid. You will encounter several guards and elite leaders on the way, who will try to protect the woman so you have to eliminate them.
Once the square is clear, tie Estrid up, put her on your back and head towards the objective point. You will be attacked by more soldiers on the way, but you don't have to fight them if you don't want to.
When you get out of the city walls it is best to call your horse and take Estrid as far away as possible so that the soldiers will stop chasing you. The woman will stop playing her role and you will be able to put her on the ground, cut her ties and take her to the harbor. After a short cut-scene the mission will end and you will receive 3400 XP as a reward.
