Search Jorvik's archives
Audun believes the archives could become the next target of the Red Hand. Head there and take note of the document that lies on the table in the back of the room.
As soon as you try to read it you will witness a conversation between Audun and Ingerborg. The prioress offered to take the Christian works to a safe place. When pressed by Eivor, the woman admits that the rectory may be the source of the problems.
Explore the rectory
Go to the parsonage to search it. The prioress admitted that she has oftentimes seen the bishop sneak out under cover of darkness to talk to the priests.
Search the locked building first. The entrance to it is on the other side - just push back the heavy shelf to reveal a window through which you'll be able to shoot off the door lock.
Inside, you will meet a priest who fears for his life and fearfully speaks of the Red Hand. He gives Eivor another clue - one of the brothers hiding in the house across the street.
The entrance to the house is obviously barricaded. Climb up to the roof and smash the wooden cover in the roof's top to get inside.
The man also hid from the wrath of the Red Hand. Despite his misgivings, he will lead you to the bishop's quarters.
Once you are there, move the obstacle blocking the door and go inside to look around a bit.
Investigate the Bishop's quarters
When you go inside, you will notice many burnt Christian scrolls. Apparently, the prioress was not mistaken about the bishop.
A little further to the left you will notice a bloody object on the ground and traces of blood on the carpet which suggest that some sort of fight has occurred here.
You will find the bishop on a throne. Unfortunately, it has been burned. When you pick up the body Eivor will notice that the man was sitting on a letter. Clearly, he was trying to protect some valuable message.
You will learn from the letter that the bishop admitted that, although against his will, he participated in the destruction of valuable texts. He mentioned something else about the convent and the prioress.
Infiltrate the Minster
People working for the Red Hand will appear in the rectory. You can fight them or sneak out quietly and go straight to the monastery.
The building is best entered through the roof, through an open window. This way you will avoid the soldiers stationed outside.
Inside, you will witness a situation where a priest asks a prioress for help in stopping the burning of holy writings. The prioress does not react and admits that she herself gave such an order.
Identify and assassinate the Firebrand
The Prioress turns out to be the Firebrand and will kill anyone who gets in her way. It's time to catch and eliminate her. Firebrand surrounds herself with her doubles to make it harder to identify her. Fake Firebrands have yellow nicknames with a question mark so you can easily recognize them. Locate the appropriate target and eliminate this member of the Ancient Order.
Return to Ljufvina
Return to Ljufvina and tell her what role Prioress Ingeborga, also known as Firebrand, played in all this. The mission will end and you will be rewarded with 5,100 XP.
