Tips concerning the completion of challenges | Challenges and achievements Splinter Cell: Blacklist Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
In Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist there are almost 150 various challenges to complete and, since each one has been described in length, this guide provides only superficial tips that concern unlocking these. Still, it's worth knowing that you can follow your progression in detail. You do that by bringing up the progress window, e.g. as a result of conversation with Briggs onboard the mobile command center. The game informs you of the challenges already completed and your progress in completing the remaining ones (e.g. how many, out of the required 100 enemies you have eliminated properly)
Completing each of the challenges comes with a monetary reward and, as much as in the case of the simplest ones this means only several thousand dollars, the more challenging and/or more time consuming reward you with bonuses of, as much as, tens thousands of dollars. Most probably, you will complete some of the challenges only incidentally, i.e. while performing a mission (e.g. eliminating all enemies stealthily). The other ones may require taking up a completely different approach so, it's a good idea to read their descriptions carefully.
The important piece of information is that you can speed up the process of meeting their requirements by taking again only specific parts of missions. This is so, because the game is saved not only after you reach a checkpoint, but also whenever, after you stop the game, you decide to return to the last checkpoint. Adopting this tactic is helpful especially at the beginning of the game when, apart from the several hundred dollars that you receive for the completion of the mission, you will be able to collect twice as much (or even more) for the completion of the simplest of challenges. This will allow you to gain access to the best gadgets, suit upgrades, weapons and Paladin upgrades faster.
