Mission 4 - Russian Embassy | Mission 12 - Site F Splinter Cell: Blacklist Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
Locations of collectibles
Just like in the case of the previous mission, I recommend that you go searching for the collectibles right after the mission starts. This is so, because causing an alarm, or activating one of the traps will result in the self-destruction of the Blacklist Laptop. The item is in one of the back rooms of the embassy (the above screenshot). Access to the laptop is blocked by the lasers. You can solve this problem by sending an EMP charge towards the left fuse box, or by sneaking into this room from the position of the external balconies (you need to get through one of the big windows). The reward for hacking into the laptop is, of course, 40 thousand dollars.
The Dead Drop is way more difficult to find. You need to start on the rooftop of the embassy and turn towards the garden behind the embassy. In here, locate the zipline shown in screenshot 1, and zip down to reach a seemingly inaccessible ledge. You can now enter the ventilation shaft shown in screenshot 2, where there is the secret (the reward is the regular 10 thousand dollars).
Location description
Unlike in the case of the previous mission, the interior of this embassy is comprised of several big rooms. You can try to search for a hiding place here, but it is worth knowing that your enemies will have goggles at their disposal from the very beginning and, as a result, it will be easier for them to track down your character in the dark. At the same time, it is a good idea to get acquainted with the storage at the back of the embassy, where you can barricade. Of course, it is risky but, this tactic will prove its value throughout the initial rounds.
Definitely, the best idea, to survive most of the rounds, is to occupy the rooftop, especially while playing in the co-op mode where each player can take up watching over one of the areas. If you play solo, this may be difficult, especially when the enemies are alarmed and set out for the roof to get Fisher.
The square in front of the embassy offers virtually no protection whatsoever and, what is even more, many enemies may appear in this area. It is a bit better idea to hide in the garden, at the back of the main building. The enemies quite rarely check this area thoroughly but, you need to keep in mind that you should not stay here while playing rounds in which you need to deal with guard dogs and reconnaissance drones because, if you are cornered, you will have nowhere to hide.
If you haven't selected the highest difficulty level (Perfectionist), it is definitely worthwhile to visit frequently the supply crates that are all around the area to replenish ammo and gadgets. I recommend that you return frequently to the crate in the small building at the back of the embassy. The remaining crates are located inside the embassy, and in the garden (I don't recommend this one because it is in a well-lit spot and you can be easily spotted as a result).
Note- After you return to the mobile command center, Charlie will no longer have any missions for you, but instead you will be able to buy from him unique elements of Fisher's combat armor, which will prove useful while completing missions basing on the Attack fighting style.
