Rescue Kobin | Mission 1 - Safehouse Splinter Cell: Blacklist Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
The only way to rescue Kobin is to eliminate the three enemies staying in the interrogation room. The game won't allow you to take them all out silently, because they won't react to any attempt at diverting their attention. And, opening the door to the room will be immediately noticed. Stand next to the see-through mirror and attack the fighter that is standing at the other side, to render him unconscious.
Note- if you do not want to be detected, skip through the step that concerns cutting through the mirror and focus on using grenades, which has been described below.
For obvious reasons, eliminating the first one of the guards will alarm the remaining two, who will start shooting at you. I recommend that you deal with them in one of two ways. The first variant assumes that you use the stun gun or the crossbow to stun the enemies. I personally recommend against this, because you will do with additional weapons towards the end of this mission.
Variant two assumes that you throw a smoke grenade into the room with the enemies. Take advantage of the fact that the enemies can't, temporarily, locate Fisher, run into the room and use melee attacks to render the unconscious. Note - if you have already unlocked some other, better gadgets, you can use them also. I recommend that in this situation, you make use of the tear gas grenade, the sleeping gas grenade or the flashbang grenade.
Once you have dealt with all the fighters, the game will initiate another cutscene but, this isn't the end of your sojourn to Libya yet. Additionally, you will have to escort Kobin to the extraction zone.
Additional tips for the Panther/Attack playing style: Just like earlier, you can't throw any explosives into the room where Kobin is staying. Otherwise, the hostage will die and you will fail the mission.
