Grim's missions can be selected in two different ways - either by selecting an appropriate dialogue option during the conversation(for the first time, after the completion of the prologue) or by finding the appropriate category of optional missions on the World Map. These missions put an emphasis on remaining in hiding because, causing the alarm to be raised in any of them will be equal to failure.
I recommend that you start doing these missions after the acquisition of upgrades that allow for detection (e.g. Sonar Pulse as well as avoiding enemies (radar, the elements of the apparel that allow silencing of Fisher's movements etc.). When it comes to gadgets, select those that will allow you to eliminate the enemies in a silent and unproblematic way (e.g. crossbow with sleeping bolts, reconnaissance drone) and to block temporarily the functioning of electronic devices (the EMP charges).
