NPC Helspar Talk to him to continue the quest Earthshaker Reinforcments.
The following chapter contains a detailed description of gameplay in Disfavored Camp (M2) and Northern Clearing (M8) locations, associated with the Earthshaker reinforcements quest. Here you will find everything you need in order to complete the mentioned side quest.
Certain aspects were described in separate sections.
Start the quest Earthshaker reinforcements is a side quest that isn't directly connected with the story of Kyros' Edicts . In order to start this quest, you must go to the Disfavored Camp . Once you're behind the walls, head near the main square where you will find Disfavored - Ceveus (M2 ). He will appear there only after you've completed the Conqueror's Will quest. You will be able to witness a conversation between the man and one of the mages. It appears that a group of Earthshakers that was supposed to assist the Disfavored in their assault on the Citadel didn't reach the designated point. Bring up this topic during the conversation and you will be able to investigate the case. After you've accepted the quest, a new location will appear on the Vendrien's W ell map - Northern Clearing . The mentioned location is where all of the objectives of the side quest will be completed, although it will take 12 hours to reach it from the Disfavored Camp . Plan your travel in accordance to the time left until the Day of Swords .
Rescue the mages
As soon as you reach the Northern Clearing you will notice an elevation and three corpses of Earthshakers on top of it. You can find a Cap and an Earthshaker Staff at one of the corpses - those might prove useful for a character focused on magic. Additionally, you will be able to see a group of rebels from the top of elevations.
Your task is to face and defeat them, which might be quite troublesome because of the fact that they will, in every scenario, outnumber your party, not to mention that they are quite tough. If you have problems defeating them, you can lure them out and then immediately run away. This way some of the enemies will follow your trail, while the rest will remain at their stations . Once you've dealt with the group that separated from the rest, wait for your characters to replenish health, save the game and assault the rest of the members of Vendrien Guard . Try to take out the enemy mage as quickly as possible - otherwise it will significantly affect the condition of your party members.
Once the encounter ends, the rock that can be seen on the above screenshot will move, revealing a group of Earthshakers . It seems, however, that the group is commanded by Helspar , which contradicts the information you've received from Ceveus . Approach the man and start a conversation to push the story further.
Helspar will thank you for your help and you will be able to gain some information from him in return. You can bring up the topic of orders issued by the Disfavored Archon, although if you accuse them of treason, you will gain Wrath of the Disfavored . Finally, you can inform them about Kyros' Edicts , after which the group of mages will move to the Disfavored Camp.
You can also search the location for hidden treasures - their locations are marked on a map that can be found in a separate, dedicated chapter of this guide. Afterwards, head to Ceveus to claim your reward.
Claim your reward In the Disfavored Camp head straight to Ceveus - the man can be found in the same spot as when you were starting the quest. Once the conversation starts you will learn that the relationship between the commander of the camp and the Earthshaker is not the best. Ultimately, you won't be able to do much during the conversation and after a short while you will receive your reward - Emerald Pin and 750 rings .
